    Expansion Joint - BELLOWS

BELLOWS COLORS

INTRODUCTION
Expansion joints are usually interposed elements which take up vibrations and expansions caused by the continuous working of fluid piping machineries or systems. Pipelines are subject to expansions caused by different temperatures, pressures, external movements, and pipeline weight. If strength and movement values exceed acceptable values joints have to be used as they allow taking up thermal expansions. Diflon offers its customers a huge range of products, supplying materials and couplings that meet any need. Rubber , PTFE, steel, machined or flanged joints. PTFE Line

Expansion joints are produced according to the most innovative blablabla techniques from semi-finished and raw materials of exceptional quality. To be used in the presence of axial and vertical expansion in important temperature conditions (-30 ° C + 220 ° C), in presence of aggressive acids or vapors and for food products. The ANSI or DIN flanges allow the connection between international standards, the steel reinforcement rings are at the PTFE expansion joint to reach important pressures, considering the plastic material of the manufactured article. Rubber Line

Rubber joints, in order to resist stress due to the working pressure and high temperature operation, are internally reinforced by several layers of textile fibers and of stainless steel wire, purposely woven and vulcanized, crating an only elastic body and at the same time much resistant. The body is printed with a wave single broad beam and its outer surface is protected by another layer of waterproof rubber tube that is so continuous and protects from outside. The inside edge of each folder is reinforced by a cord of stainless steel wires high resistance to increase the maximum operating pressure and ensure a good seal surface of the flanges. If placed well, the seal ensures no slippage from the body flange rubber.

Steel Line

The bellows is the fundamental part of the expansion joint, and it is obtained by hydraulic or mechanic trial from stainless steel or alloy steel having only one longitudinal welding. A controlled behaviour produces a set of parallel metallic waves, that ensure maximum flexibility and reliability.. Our system of calculation furnishes the stressanalysis of the bellows, which allows to make calculations according to customer's specifications.
